This cupcake was made specifically for a design competition on 'flickr!' for the letter "d".
This is a vanilla cupcake, frosted with vanilla buttercream, then crusted with gold-coated sugar crystals.
The Cupcake is resting on a rolled fondant disc.
The dragon is made of fondant, entirely by hand. The dragon eggs are fondant, coated in peacock-coloured edible glitter. The letter "d" is also fondant.
Wish me luck!

Yering, Sunday 18th May
Hi everyone
Sorry about the late notice, but wanted to let you know as early as I can that I won't be at Yering this coming Sunday... My Mum has suffered a Pulmonary Embolism in her right lung, and the doctors have also detected more clots in her groin and left thigh, so things are touch and go until they can clear the source of the clots, and get her body working on stabilising them (warfarin therapy) and get them reabsorbed.
Thanks for all your kind words of support - they mean a lot... and see you at the market in June!
Cheers
Juli

Hello and Welcome!

First up, thanks for deciding to check in and read all about the newest addition to Melbourne's cupcake scene.
Just Cupcakes! are available to order, and they are also available on the third Sunday of every month at the Farmer's Market, Yering. Market hours are 9am to 2pm... Yering is the only market in Melbourne that is under cover in a purpose-built barn, so the market is held come rain, hail or shine, so come along and introduce yourself - I'd love to meet you, and hear what you think of my work!
ON this blog, you'll find not just photos and descriptions of my cupcakes, but also details on how to order, be able to print a copy of my brochure, and learn baking secrets that will ensure you get the best results every time you turn on your oven!
Remember, there is never a bad time for cupcakes!
